A series of City Strolls planned for the spring, highlighting such topics as regeneration, parks and green space, The city from a historical and architectural perspective - as well as how it is serving its citizens.
The idea is to examine our surrounding and look at the city through a critical eye, rather than just passing through it, going from A to B. Routes and topics will be roughly planned but participants can be guides on the walks to. Our city is rich in cultural and historical reference and much of it is under threat without us even being aware of it.
Cities in order to grow, other than just materially, need a health influx of human activity. Our city is unique and what makes it unique are its people. What makes a city healthy and exciting is how it's citizens interact with it. If you are interested in these topics or just want to take in the stroll, come along.
First of the spring city strolls. From the CCA, Down through Gotham City, (Business district) towards the river taking in the Anderson Centre - the community on stilts.
