RESHUFFLE HOME PAGE
FAQ AND HELP NEEDED
Would you like to help out at the Reshuffle? Most of the tasks are painless and a bit of fun. These are things to think about if you are planning an event - give us your tips.
HELP RUN THE CAFE
Take a spot at serving tea and food.
ATTENDING THE INFO DESK
There will be a wee information desk: What's on where and general info on what's happening.
GENERAL STUFF
There is always stuff to do for the person who can just get on with things on their own or folk who just want to do a wee bit to help out.
IMAGINATION
Any ideas for things that kids can do to to stimulate their imagination - rather than run down batteries:)
TECHNICAL
Plug things in and make computers and projectors work and knowing why they wont:)
LEAFLETING
There are plenty leaflets to give out and download pre-event - Make your own.
DO YOU HAVE FILM OR RECORDING SKILLS
Take pictures, video, voice recording. Ask folk what they think of event/life - any ideas? - What would you like to see happening?
DOING A SPONTANEOUS SPOT
You may even have an idea yourself for helping. Help lighten the load do a spot at the Reshuffle it is all part of the idea.
TIME
The Reshuffle lasts about 6 hours. Entrance to the building is at 11 am for participants. Event starts at 12 am
STUFF
can usually be stored day before if need be.
VOLUNTEERING
If you want to volunteer some help in any form try and let me know SAP.
REQUIREMENTS
Any special requirements or tech you need let me know. PI has wheelchair access.
GOGET
Go get things, to the ends of the earth if needed be, or the corner shop.
IN AND OUT
Get things arranged in the morning and taking em down at the end of event -tidy-up
.
BREAD MAKING
Help out with the bread making and food preparation.
NOTICE BOARD
Tell folk what you are doing and what your interests are on the board - leave your card.
GOODWILL
The Reshuffle is run mostly on good-will and volunteers.
The more people who do a little the less we have to do.
DIY MEET-UPS
You can organise your own meeting, chat, workshop on the day. Just post up your idea on a table stand and get on with it:-) Make sure you do a shout out and post on the board.
COOPERATION
Reshuffle is as much to do with coordination and cooperation, how we can work together and coming away from the day with something to think about. Remember it is what you bring as well as what is there.
INFORMATION GATHERING
This year we hope to have as much information gathering to help plan Reshuffles (or other events) in different areas of the city. Let other folk know who you are.
SIGNAGE
Need to make big red arrows show folk where to go in the building. Leaflet distribution always needs done. Always important this.
SPREADING THE WORD
Please forward information if you have a mail list and tell as many folk as possible. Ta
