The topics of these pieces
will be based on pastimes,
work, unemployment, history,
and the future. Where folk
were asked to say something
about their community, or submit
something they had writen. Some
will be longer some are short.
The important thing is they are
in peoples own words, or as
close to what they were trying
to express. Glasgow User Manual

My Little Clock

My little clock has ticked his last

Farewell, adieu, goodbye

I buried it in a rubbish bag

With many a tear and a sigh

Oh my friend, yes its true,

You knew when to get me out of bed

To go and sign the Broo

And tell me when the pub was open,

And the licensed grocer shut.

And the next race at Ascot

And when my Giro was due

All the best times, to tap my neighbours

Or when my friends were flush

Or when the Lenders were calling

To get out the door in a rush

Your Gone, I’m in a pickle,

But I know what to do,

I’ll tap someone roundabout

And buy another you!
