The topics of these pieces
will be based on pastimes,
work, unemployment, history,
and the future. Where folk
were asked to say something
about their community, or submit
something they had writen. Some
will be longer some are short.
The important thing is they are
in peoples own words, or as
close to what they were trying
to express. Glasgow User Manual

Introduction

Dear Hammy, I have put into this CD, my Report on the Cycle of Regeneration (as it concerns Govan), for Strathclyde University. This will be published soon as part of a larger effort from 12 students – under the guidance of Prof. Alistair Mcintosh. The introduction will explain itself.

You will also find some essays, which I have used as radio scripts for Sunny Govan: Alexander the Great, the Celtic Church, a History of Govan, the Celts, and the Picts, and one on Charles Rennie Mackintosh, which I did as a live broadcast from the art lover’s house in Bellahouston Park.

Finally, there are two poems. I often write poetry for fun, so I hope you enjoy these too!
